Here we go again…

1. The Strokes- Under Cover The Darkness

We are starting off with the new and highly anticipated single of The Strokes; one of my favorite bands ever. Album titled “Angels” is coming out in March 22^nd on RCA records.

2. The Rural Alberta Advantge- Stamp

I can’t stop stressing how awesome bands come out of Canada and this is one of them. Their latest song is from the newest album entitled “Departure.”

3. Ra Ra Riot- Too Amazing

Great band from Syracuse, NY and this is their latest single from their album entitled “Orchard.” If you happen to be in the Orlando area, come check them out at the Social on March 8^th.

4. Dum Dum Girls- He gets me high

An awesome all-female indie pop band hailing from California and this is their latest single off the “He Gets Me High” EP. If you are in the Orlando area, you should come check out them at the Social on March 12 along with Tennis, La Sera, & Dirty Beaches.

5. Young Prisms- If you want to

This is a new band from California that I’ve had the pleasure of getting into. This single is off their album “Friends For Now” and it’s out now, so grab a copy.

6. Peter, Bjorn, & John- Second Chance

One of my all-time favorite trios: Peter, Bjorn, & John. This is their newest song off their upcoming album “Gimme Some” that is being released on March 29^th on Startime Intl records. ** ON REPEAT**

7. The Black Keys- Howlin' For You

Anyone who knows me knows that I am the biggest advocate for The Black Keys. I make everyone listen to them and turn them on to them and this song just makes my argument even stronger. Latest single off their latest album “Brothers.” ENJOY!

8. Bear Hands- Crime Pays

WHERE BROOKLYN AT?! This awesome band hailing from the BK is definitely coming up strong. You may have heard this song on the MTV show “Skins” (which blows by the way).

9. Cloud Control- My Fear #2

Great new band from down under. This Australian band is a great listen. Check them out and their album “Bliss Release.”

10. Kroq- Funeral Party

California at it’s finest. I saw this band before they had any large fan-base and now they are coming up strong. I am truly happy for them. Check out their debut album “The Golden Age Of Knowledge.”

Okay, I want to apologize for not posting a list last week, but it had totally slipped my mind. Anyway, enough excuses...this week's playlist I wanted to keep it very chill and mellow. Music that you would listen with a loved one during a night in with a nice wine.

Let's get started.

1. Gregory Alan Isakov- "If I'm go, I'm goin

I know this song came out in 2008, but I had recently discovered this artist while watching a recent episode of Californication and as soon as I heard it, I fell in love.

2.Julia Stone- This Love

Julia Stone melts my heart and only further strengthens my reason for wanting to go and live in Australia.

3. The Civil Wars- 20 years

A great man-woman duo that I got the pleasure of listening to. Their debut album "Barton Hallow" is a great listen.

4. Adele- Someone like You

If anyone knows who Adele is knows that she is just purely amazing. This London native just released her second album entitled "21" and it a wonderfully orchestrated album.

5. LoveLikeFire- My Left Eye 

A great song by a band from San Francisco, CA. Although this song was released in 2009, I recently heard it during the end scene of the US version of Skins (horrible show; UK version is better :D) and once again, I fell in love. Enjoy

6. The Jakes- Take Me Home

The Jakes is now known as Young The Giant. This song is amazing all around. The lyrics and the rhythm. The acoustics and the vocals. I listen to this song on repeat. I am a huge avid fan of Young The Giant. Please support them!

7. Amazing Broken Man- Near Town

A wonderful folk artist hailing from Sao Paulo, Brazil. When I heard this song, I was blown away and especially after I found out he was from Brazil. He's up and coming, so watch out for him.

8. Band of Horses- Life on Earth

One of my favorite bands of all time. Band Of Horses never disappoints me in anyway and they shouldn't disappoint you either. This song was released last year for the Twilight: Eclipse movie. (No, I don't like or promote Twilight in any way, but I have to sadly admit that they do have pretty killer soundtracks.)

9. Belle & Sebastian- Little Lou, Ugly Jack, Prophet John.

This band is a band that everyone should get into. They compose some of the best love song of all time; like this one. Enjoy

10. Rachel Goodrich- Popsicles


And I saved the best for last: Rachel Goodrich. She is a Miami, FL native and her self-titled album is just golden along with her voice. I have gotten the wonderful opportunity of seeing her live in Orlando and continue to each and every time she is in town. Support her and buy her album!

I hope that his "slow jamz" playlist sets the mood for many of you this weekend.
